Installing & Using The MindStudio Chrome Extension

We are thrilled to introduce the alpha release of the MindStudio Chrome Extension, a powerful tool that enables you to run AI Workers directly from your browser. Note: This is an alpha release provided to everyone for testing purposes. We encourage you to explore the extension, provide feedback, and help us refine the extension for its official release.

HOW TO USE:

1. Enable Browser Extension Mode for AI Workers: Configure AI Workers for browser use by setting the Run Mode to "Browser Extension" in the Start Block.

2. Open the Extension and Sign into MindStudio: Once signed in, your AI Workers published in "Browser Extension" mode will appear in the extension. If you're already signed into MindStudio, this process happens automatically

3. Run AI Workers ANYWHERE: Click a Worker icon in the dock to start a new run. Workers enabled for browser use can access specific launch variables in the workflow: URL, full text, selected text, and raw HTML.

4. (Optional) Change Workspaces from Settings: To view AI Workers from different workspaces, click the MindStudio logo in the dock and open the extension settings.

HOW TO INSTALL:

1. Go to the GitHub Repo: https://github.com/mindstudio-ai/mind...) and click on “Releases Page” found in the Readme

2. Download the mindstudio-chrome-extension.zip file3. Extract the ZIP file. Unpack the contents of the ZIP file to a folder on your device.

4. Open Chrome Extensions Manager:  chrome://extensions/.

5. Enable Developer Mode: Toggle Developer Mode in the top-right corner of the Extensions page.

6. Click Load Unpacked and select the folder containing the unpacked extension files.
